Rekha Gupta is originally from Jind district of Haryana. But she moved to Delhi at the age of just 2 years. Rekha Gupta’s grandfather Rajendra Jindal was a commission agent in Jind’s Julana. Rekha’s father Jai Bhagwan Jindal was a manager in Bank of India. Even after her father got a job in the bank, his family shifted from Jind to Delhi.
What does Rekha Gupta’s husband do?
Rekha’s mother Urmila Jindal was a housewife. Rekha started her political career with Akhil Bharatiya Vidyarthi Parishad. Rekha Gupta’s husband is an insurance agent as well as a businessman. In the affidavit submitted by Rekha at the time of nomination, she said that her husband Manish Gupta is an insurance agent with Kotak Life Insurance as well as a spare parts businessman.

According to media reports, Rekha Gupta has two children. Son Nikunj and daughter Harshita. Daughter Harshita is pursuing business like her father. While son Nikunj Gupta is still studying. Just before the announcement of her being made the Chief Minister, Rekha Gupta’s mother-in-law had said that it is 99 percent certain that Rekha will become the CM.

She has brought pride and honour to our entire family – both in-laws and parents. This is the first time someone from our family has become a leader. She was elected councillor for the first time, then became MLA for the first time and now she is on her way to becoming the Chief Minister for the first time.”
